Prince Rupert’s “other museum”

Recently, I visited my family in Prince Rupert.

After having lunch on 2nd Ave, mom and I were walking past Gary’s Lock and Security Shop when a sign reading “Prince Rupert’s other museum” caught my eye.

Curious, I went in and met the owner Gary. Gary recognized me as the Photo Painter! A very thrilling moment indeed.

Even more thrilling were the vintage albums Gary brought out. They were full of interesting black and white photos! Gary let me spend the afternoon there scanning his photos of Prince Rupert’s early days.

Back home now, I have begun digitally restoring and colourizing the photos. Today, I am excited to share the first completed photograph. The album page I scanned it from at Gary’s shop is shown below.
