Entire population of Prince Rupert, October 1906

A colourized group portrait of Prince Rupert’s first residents assembled on the newly completed Grand Trunk Pacific Railway wharf. GTP President Charles Melville Hays is standing in the second to last row. The group includes surveyors, construction workers, and loggers. Aside from Hays, the individuals in the photo need to be identified. They may include: James H. Bacon, Mr. Pillsbury, Pethic, Casey, Lucas, Agnew, Hill, Screiber, Barrow, Zenardi, Gilmore, George Phillpot, Whitcombe, Pepin, E.A. Wood, and 14 Japanese workers. There is only one woman who is located in the back row.
